This is a day that I have looked forward to for a while now. My friend Julie and I are going to Mankato today to have some fun! We're gonna go out to eat (don't know where) and do some shopping. We tried to do this a few weeks ago, and things didnt' work out, so now we're finally making it happen today! I'm excited about it. Julie and I used to work together, but now the past 3 years or so she's been at a different place of employment and we don't see each other too often. She was my maid of honor at our wedding, and we were very close at work. I've known her for the past 13 years. Her youngest daughter is in Isaac's class.
Its funny how time flies - when I first started work at Bargen, she had just had their first child. And now Janessa will be 13 years old next month. Then I had Isaac a few years later, she had Lexia the next year and then we had Josiah. We're both in different stages of child rearing, but that's ok. They are almost in the teenage years and we've only begun the double digits in our house. Her girls can stay home by themselves good, our boys can't yet. Although Isaac is mature enough to handle things, Josiah is too wild to want to listen to his brother! (imagine that?!)
Martin talked about taking the boys to Mankato too. We need groceries bad. Martin has finally returned to work so he can now get a good check instead of drawing unemployment. That got to be a real drag having him all the time. With me working, seemed like all he had was time on his hands to think about the things he could be doing if he were working. ARGH. And now we don't have to worry about that anymore - thank goodness!
I also added a map of sorts on the right side of this site. I got it from my cousins' wifes website. Mitch and Kelleigh live in Oregon and Kelleigh is an awesome scrapbooker! She displays awesome layouts on her website - I'm afraid to say that my pages are very simple compared to hers. Not that hers are full of stuff on them, I would say they are elegant and easy. I just don't know how to do the "elegant" part of scrapbooking. Anyways, I'll put their site on here again - I took it off cuz I didn't have it typed in there right and I could never access if anyways. But she put that map on her site to see where all her readers are coming from and I thought it was cool too, so I copied it (hope that's ok Kelleigh!)
Must get going. J asked for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich so I better get that for him.
The weather here has been wonderful, although snow/rain is suppose to come here on Sun - Tues, but then warm the rest of the week next week.
Talk later!
