Mowing Lawn

If you are a boy, I would imagine the task of mowing lawn gets strated early in life as it has for our boys. Since our lawn mower needs to be fixed (and we have the belt for it, but we need the time to fix it - I'm sure you know how that goes?!), we've been using Grandpa's push lawn mower which really isn't much of a push mower. But the boys have now started taking the task on of mowing the lawn. Josiah hasn't mastered being able to start the lawn mower yet, but Isaac has, so the two can basically mow the lawn themselves without much guidance from Martin or myself. And it seems strange saying that too - knowing that they are 10 and 7 - not grown up yet to do other things, but mow lawn they can. They do quite well too - Martin is giving them $7 each and I took them to the DQ for a treat cuz it was a muggy night to be mowing lawn. Money or ice cream? They didn't seem to care which one they got - both are equally as nice (especially since we hardly go to the DQ).

I just find it hard to believe that our boys, my boys, aren't babies anymore, and can start doing some "adult" chores. Seems so hard to believe that they've grown up that fast already!
